First Over: The Proteas 9 for no wicket (Laura Wolvaardt 8, Tazmin Brits 0)
Lauren Bell opened the bowling with a fresh cherry. Wolvaardt immediately took advantage, driving the initial delivery with style past cover for four. A subsequent loose ball was cut for four more runs. The bowler then tightened her line, allowing just one run from a wide.
Pre-Match Build-Up
The playing surface is said to be different from the one used in the earlier match. It's been called a surface with red soil, promising more bounce and help for the seamers.
The two sides have had inconsistent form in the competition so far. The English team are considered favourites, however the Proteas have the potential of springing a surprise. Past records indicate the English side have won both previous semi-final meetings between the sides.
