This Best Shared Screen Release You've Almost Certainly Not Experienced Arrives to Switch
The Wizard of Legend Sequel, an roguelike journey centered on spellcasters aiming to achieve status as mythical figures, is coming to Nintendo's console before month's end. It will be available Nov. 25, giving enthusiasts of shared-screen titles another opportunity to discover among the year's top-tier releases in the genre.
A Troubled Launch
Wizard of Legend II has followed the roadmap of several under-the-radar titles. Its creators made it available in early access in October 2024 on PC platforms, ahead of launching it completely, together with PlayStation 5 and Xbox versions, in June 2025. At launch, it got absolutely slammed. Only under 30% of its player feedback are complimentary. Its feedback on Steam are "varied", based on close to a couple thousand reviews, with a lot of users critiquing the unrefined state and abundance of technical issues at launch. Console players further condemned that the cooperative mode, a huge selling point for the title, mostly failed.
Consistent Refinements
However like several early access games that launch in unpolished conditions, The Wizard of Legend Sequel has been shaping up. In recent months, the development team have rolled out a series of patches designed to fix these issues. Since experiencing Wizard of Legend 2 more than every other new game release recently, it's safe to state it performs better compared to at launch (on console, at least). It's hit the stage where nine times out of ten, players can reliably initiate a cooperative run to work. Not bad!
If It Operates, It Shines
Furthermore once Wizard of Legend II functions, it performs excellently. Using an isometric view, you navigate elemental-themed levels by casting spells in fast-paced combat. Lots of rushing, lots of dodging, lots of managing cooldowns. It's extremely quick and remarkably inventive; through blending your magical attacks alongside a partner's, you can create powerful synergies.
Nintendo Switch Edition Details
While the Switch version hasn't been extensively tested, it's worth noting the very demanding approval process for games on the Switch. The developer stated via an announcement that this edition of Wizard of Legend II includes every patch that were implemented in the current year.
